Often they will allow input from the user as they navigate through each "scene", which may make changes to outcomes and the general storyline. ![]() ![]() Because of their heavy usage of images and sounds to deliver the story, visual novels are usually considered to be more like video games than actual novels. Visual novels are best described as stories that are told through through both images, sounds and words. Ren'py is a software engine for visual novels that was released in summer 2004.
